Bringing electrical wiring to the house
At first we brought electricity from the transformer across the street to a temporary pole near the future pump house. Next we completed wiring for the inside of the pump house, including the transfer switch for the generator.
Once the house was in place we were able to bring the electric cables to the house as well as the water pipe from the pump house.
This became possible only after spring rains had saturated the soil. Opening the pit for electrical service at the pump house and digging the trench to the house gave us a couple of pools of muddy water.
Workers could lay the conduits and the large electric cables even with all the water so by the time they filled the trenches it was time to call Puget Sound Energy to connect to the grid.
